Starting over

Yesterday while poking around the MySpace, I got caught up on Dr. Duncan’s recent writings from his new life in Florida. He’s been writing quite a bit as he settles in and starts over in an unfamiliar place. He even has some photos up from his new apartment (5 closets!) and the lush, green, moss-covered environment outside. My inner thighs are sweating a bit just thinking about the humidity.

We’re looking forward to seeing Duncan when he visits next month, but I’m confident now that he’ll make the return trip to Jacksonville. He has a school, students, and a cat there that need him.

It’s been sad and exciting times for Lion Sized recently. Rob lost his best friend. Erica and I are married and headed to Paris tonight. And our newest member (more on that later) just became a daddy. We’re looking forward to November, and, if we’re not forced to move to Manitoba, we may even play a show.

We’ll miss you, Azrael

Azrael

I was saddened this morning when I found out Rob’s cat, Azrael, had died. She was quite possibly the sweetest cat on the planet and I feel terribly for Rob.

Anybody who has ever been to Rob’s house knows what a great cat Azrael was. She didn’t hiss (Monkey, I’m looking at you) or run under the bed (Angus Levi). She was happy to sit with anybody willing to pet her long fur or scratch the right places. I always thought she kinda looked like an Ewok, but cuter.

If you see Rob around, give him a hug and tell him everything’s going be OK.

Knot … FOREVER!!!!

Congratulations to Josh and Erica!!!!! Yesterday they took the plunge and got hitched.
