born in the blizzard

Dear Denver,

Thanks so much for leaving your cozy homes during last night’s blizzard conditions to come see us play at the hi-dive. We hope you had as much fun as we did. We realize that it probably wasn’t easy for you to bundle up in boots, mittens, and winter coats when you’d rather be sipping sleepytime tea by the fire, wearing slippers and flannel pjs. Please accept the above picture (of Magic Cyclops grinding the back of Number Three’s head taken during a recent show in Phil Collins, Colorado) as a small token of our appreciation for how rad you are.

Love,

Lion Sized

The poster I made for our show next week with Ideal Fathers and Snake Rattle Rattle Snake is “Flier of the week” over on Backbeat Online. Thanks Westword dudes.

Something I should have noted on the poster is that this show will be our last … until at least June. Shane is leaving the country for a bit and Number Three is going to be busy disassembling/reassembling his motorcycle and playing with Eyes and Ears. Unfortunately, I got carried away with the giant rattlesnake and forgot to note our upcoming mini-hiatus on the poster.

Go to the show. We play first (first = early).

Show with snake rattle rattle snake

We’re coming back to the Hi-Dive, and we’re playing early so we can get a good night’s sleep. The show is Thursday, March 26 and we’re playing with Snake Rattle Rattle Snake.

According to Andrew Warner, SRRS is “me, doug and hayley from monofog, james yardley from hawks of paradise, kit from mr. pacman, and hayley’s brother will.”

Good lineup, eh? Should be a good show.
